J.W. (John Wyer) AUTOMOTIVE, the original builders of the Ford GT40's for the Ford Motor Company, constructed the last eleven Ford GT40 MK I 289 automobiles after the Ford Motor Company canceled its factory backing. The original MK I was introduced by Ford in late 1964 to compete at Le Mans against the factory Ferrari's.

This particular Ford GT40 was one of the last original cars built by J.W. AUTOMOTIVE. It has been in the same collection since it was built and has now become available.
